What are the main tips to get good exchange rate from bank?

  1. Have a written agreement (either on sanction letter or on email), the margin that bank would charge on FX transactions
  2. Keep the understanding very clear that margin would be irrespective of volume and type of FX transaction
  3. Have internal benchmark like RBI rate etc to compare quality of rates that you receive.
