I stopped hedging as i made losses in the past. Was it correct a decision?

Hedging must be planned carefully – amount of hedge, period of hedge, timing of hedge etc. Once hedged, the transaction must be monitored, and mid curse correction must be taken if there is change in market or change in business dynamics. Ideally past losses cannot be a parameter to judge effectiveness of hedging. A more effective approach is to put in place a right hedging strategy and a monitoring mechanism.
